A few years ago a friend got me into Mel’s Kitchen Cafe. All I have to say in one word is YUM. Now, I get her emails daily and each day I want to make something new from her inspiration.
Looking for something amazingly tasty and EASY? Look no further. I have made this recipe a few times now and every single time, people are like “Who made this??”, “It’s devine!”, “WHERE can I get the recipe?”…or “Patrice, this is evil because I am never going to stop eating it!”…now, that’s a chocolate recipe I’m looking for.
Super simple…I think the last time I made it I had twenty minutes before having to pick up one of the kids. Easy-Peazy.
Salted Chocolate Toffee Pretzels
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 of of a 1-pound bag of mini pretzels
2 sticks unsalted butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Sea salt
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. Follow the pictures

Using about 1/3-1/2 of a 1 lb. bag of mini pretzels, break them into tiny pieces and spread over the baking sheet (you can crush handfuls in your hand and then drop them onto the sheet)

After the 3 minutes, immediately pour the hot toffee mixture over the pretzels in a back and forth motion. Not to worry if there are gaps as they will fill in during baking.

After about 10 minutes or so – you could do sooner if you are in a rush, spread the chocolate with a rubber spatula (You may want to spray the spatula with cooking spray to keep from sticking to the chocolate)

Place the bark in a freezer bag and back in the fridge if you are going to use soon or in the freezer for yummy treats later on.
Enjoy!!!!
